Ritupriya Yamujala

I am an enthusiastic and highly motivated Biotechnologist. After achieving a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology at VIT – University, located in southern India, a passion for understanding the internal functioning mechanism of the Pharmaceutical Industry drove me to pursue the Master of Business and Science degree at Rutgers University, New Brunswick.

The Pharmaceutical Industry particularly interests me because of it's business and technology structure. Developing a chemical or a biologic, which can positively manipulate the human body's intricate mechanisms, is literally like developing an elixir for life. Finding a target, screening compounds, manipulating the right compound, patenting it, putting it to trials, passing through extremely trying regulations and finally manufacturing it on a large scale; it all involves complex processes which have been made systematic through highly sophisticated and organized systems. Pharmaceutical industry is an elegant example of human intelligence and sophistication.

Building on prior and ongoing research experiences along with inter-personal skills, leadership qualities and excellent communication skills, I have set out to find my space in this challenging sector.
