Shona Rix

My name is Shona Rix. I am a 37 yr old mom of 6. George and I have been married for almost 13 yrs. We moved to Myrtle Beach in January of 2006. I am a stay at home mom, and George is a Landscaper. We are originally from out side of Charlotte, NC. We are a Christian family , with Christian values. We are very active in our church, South Strand Assembly of God and wouldn't have it any other way. We listen to contemporary Christian music..98% of the time. We love the water. We spend our summers on the beach or at the local waterpark. Our children are held to very high standards, whether it be academically, morally or socially. We are trying to raise good men, because the world has enough forty year old boys. Our children are expected to be polite, kind, caring and giving. They are expected to share and to serve others the way Christ served. They have been taught that beauty comes from within, that the dress size of a girl doesn't matter, the size of her heart does. They have also been taught that skin color.. is just a pigmentation, it holds no bearing on how we treat people. I use humor in a lot of situations, because I am extremely shy. Not all get my humor and well.. not much I can say about that. If you don't like me, you don't like me and I hope that doesn't affect the friendships between our children. There are times I can come across as flakey. I am a little scattered and disorganized at times, I've always got so much going on, at all times. My family is my life. They are my career and my education. I hope that our children will be able to spend time together, get to know one another and become good friends.
