Riya V Anandwala

Riya V. Anandwala is a communications professional based in the U.S. A native of Mumbai, the financial and entertainment capital of India, Riya has an affinity for bright colors, spices and Bollywood music.

She recently earned a master’s degree in journalism from Indiana University in Bloomington. Before moving to the United States, Riya received a bachelor’s degree in mass media from University of Mumbai.

She has lived in America for three years, during which she worked with several news and communication companies. Her articles, primarily business, have been published in St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Inman.com in California, Peoria Journal Star, Indianapolis Business Journal, Investopedia.com in Canada, Hindustan Times and The Times Group in India. She has also held communication positions with several marketing offices at Indiana University and recently did financial communications at Fleishman-Hillard.

A news junkie, Riya likes to engage in conversations about economics, financial trends and sociopolitical issues around the world. She spends a lot of time cooking, traveling (mostly in the Midwest) and taking photos.
