Born and raised in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh, I immigrated to Canada about 20 years ago. I have had the opportunity to live and work in Halifax and Calgary and ultimately settling down in Ottawa, Ontario. I am proud to be who I am, where I came from, and where I am now.

I began my professional career as a consultant in Hydrogeology and Hydraulic Engineering in western Canada, in the Canadian Rockies (Kootenay Mountains) in beautiful south-eastern British Columbia. After that I joined Canadian federal government and went to work for Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC), Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), Bank of Canada, and the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). It has been an exciting journey so far! I have been with the CRA for last few years.

I always try to put my heart into whatever I do. Whether it’s my professional work, volunteer work, writing for scientific/engineering journal, or working on my hobby, I hate doing stuff in a half-baked way. I strongly believe that things that are made with heart, commitment and joy have something special in them.

I am an avid runner, a decent wood carver, an Ottawa Senators fan, a passionate supporter of Brazilian soccer, a beginner photographer, and a proud father of a boy and a girl.
