Ryon J. Cobb
Ryon J. Cobb is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Sociology at Florida State University. His work attempts to understand how colorism as well as the racial/ethnic processes that occur within the institution of religious life contribute racial/ethnic stratification in society. Following this research program, his work draws on several disciplines, including Sociology, Psychology, Public Health, and Religious Studies, to examine the effects of religion (beliefs, behaviors, and traditions) on a.) beliefs about Black impoverishment and b.) health-relevant behaviors (functional health limitations).
