Rob Jeremiah G. Nuguid

Rob is a Filipino chemist with a strong passion for catalysis research. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland) where he investigates the structure-reactivity relationship of industrial catalysts using in situ/operando spectroscopic techniques

He has received a multidisciplinary training in a highly international environment. As part of his bachelor and master’s programs, he has studied and/or conducted research at Université Paris-Saclay (France), Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain), Politechnika Wroclawska (Poland), University College London (United Kingdom), Rice University (United States), Academia Sinica (Taiwan), and Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (Philippines).

During his free time, he volunteers as a Community Mentor for the online chemistry courses offered by Duke University on Coursera. He is also fond of traveling and exploring new places. To date, he has been to 59 countries across 4 continents.
