Memphis-born comic Richard Douglas Jones started performing at local
open mics in an attempt to recover from depression, after a succession
of hapless happenings left him slightly misanthropic. He found
redemption in comedy and audiences found his wildly inappropriate,
caustic wit hilarious.
RDJ has been described as both a nice guy and a dubious miscreant,
confusing, not really! Once, you've seen and heard him, you will
understand, he's what happens when good guys date really, really,
really bad girls and then make fun of it. His delivery is a mash up
of keen observances on dating, politics, and race.
First place winner of Big Funny Productions 2010 "Memphis' Funniest
Person Contest" and second place semi-finalist of Giggle's Grill and
Comedy Catch's Southeastern Funny People Search V, RDJ continues to
hone his skills perforing in comedy clubs, corporate and charity events, and colleges around the country.
