A recently retired high school English teacher of 40 years, I have presented at NECC, PETE&C, HSTW Southern Conference and PSU and delivered papers about Gender Relationships in 18th Century England in Seattle, Boston, and South Carolina.
A former Lucy B. Moses Teaching Fellow at Lehigh University, I was a recipient of a National Endowment for the Humanities in Independent Study, British Library, London. In addition, I testified before the Pennsylvania Senate Communications and Technology Committee and Education Committee Hearings advocating the collaborative products and services of Discovery Education.
I am a member of GALA and a board member, secretary, webmaster and social media chair for PLAA. In December 2013, after a two-year battle with NHL, DLBCL, and a rare pathogen that enabled my cells to grow rapidly, I remain lymphoma free.
