Rashawn King

"Nothing good comes without a fight" Rashawn King Embrace these words ever since he was a child. But he never thought he would actually have to put those words in affect. Before graduating in 2012 from Middle Creek High school, during his sophomore year he was diagnosed with Leukemia. At the age of seventeen he didn't know how to embrace the fact that he literally was going to die within twenty four hours. He was determined to live and is now cancer free.

After battling against a deadly disease in high school Rashawn King had many more journeys. He just recently started his own Non-profit motivational speaking business called Second Chances to Rise. He goes from city to city and state to state to motivate and inspire others with life threatening illnesses to fight to survive. Also he is currently a football coach at Middle creek High school.

Rashawn King is a rising junior at North Carolina Central University and plans on earning his degree in business management. He also has a 2.9 GPA and just recently played basketball for North Carolina Central University this past year. During the rest of his years as a student at North Carolina Central, he plans to excel in everything he does. He hopes to encourage and uplift the community and his fellow soaring eagles.

After he graduates and receives his business degree he plans to apply to school of business at UNC Chapel Hill to earn his MBA. In the future he plans to use his degree to open up many businesses such as soul food restaurants, amusement parks, and sport complexes.
