Roberta Davis Longacre
Musician in Roswell, Georgia
At age 12, as her mother played the piano, Roberta shared the stage with Little Richard. Later she went on to performances with Sammy Davis, Jr., Leslie Uggams, Corbit Monica and numerous other entertainers of the day. As an ensemble singer she toured as a member of the R&B group, The Marvelettes (Don't Mess With Bill), and became a road warrior for her artistic craft.
Roberta's stage work includes acting in plays that range from musicals to drama and comedy. She has excelled in featured roles in The Song of Bernadette, Lost in the Stars, and The Will to Survive (I've Got It).
In 2005, Roberta began singing with the New Horizons Jazz Blues Band as the lead vocalist. Currently, under the auspices of Dream Starz Entertainment LLC, she sings with the Ettowa Jazz Band and Roswell, Georgia's 80's music pop band, City Beat. She is looking forward to the publication of her poetry book early next year.
