At a young age, I was fascinated how different keywords combined would pull up different search results. I loved the idea of search engines and how many unique visitors a site could gather, but had no idea there was a job segment for that. I looked a little more into SEO and it has a big influence on social media, especially with keyword placement. Finally seeing how SEO, social media, and analytics all fit into place with each other, I knew I had a calling with digital marketing.

I enjoy social media beyond the point of getting a “Like” or being retweeted. Being able to strategically share and communicate a topic with those who have the same interests thrill me because I can socially engage with others in the community and be a thought-leader on that subject in time. The deeper part of social media that intrigues me, is tracking who I have influenced and if that content has been shared and distributed out of my own initial network. Analyzing metrics and the ROI that can be derived from shared content is critical for influential purposes. Filtering sentiment from a SaaS listening tool, such as Sysomos, Alterian’s SM2, or Radian6, can help steer which way you would prefer the content to be driven to the target audience.
