Born in Banes, Holguin, Cuba and raised in Miami, Florida, Ricardo is of Afro-Cuban descent. He is an alumnus of Tuskegee University's Robert R. Taylor School of Architecture and Construction Sciences (TSACS) since May 2013. Ricardo is also a former student from Texas A&M University's Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning Department where he earned a Master of Urban Planning degree while serving as the 2015-2016 AIAS Chapter President and working part-time as an Architectural Intern at Patterson Architects in Bryan, TX.

Previously, Ricardo was employed as a summer architectural intern at Pierce Goodwin Alexander and Linville (PGAL), a Houston based architecture firm.

Currently, Ricardo is working towards becoming a licensed architect under NCARB and a LEED accredited professional.
