I am interested in helping create environments that are safe a bias-free for all youth.

Specifically I work to subvert the marginalization of sexual and gender minorities. Anywhere young people find shelter: museums, makerspaces, camps, schools, libraries and after-school programs should act as havens for all folk. As an educator I witnessed and experienced the struggles of LGBTQ individuals in our institutions of learning. Due to this I decided to pursue a terminal degree. My goal was to blend my passion for education, technology, games and digital media, and advocacy for sexual and gender minorities and build tools for the benefit of students, families, educators, and our communities.

My concern for education has always been balanced by an interest in media. After college I developed a consultancy around social media and later designed and taught workshops both at schools and with community groups. This led to a fascination with participatory media and in turn my research around learning design that reduces the marginalization any underrepresented group in shared spaces.

I am an avid TTRPG gamemaster and storyteller, sailor, and curriculum manager. I would love to support programs that are aligned with my passion areas so feel free to reach out if we have something in common!
