Founder Caryl Lyons discovered her talent and passion for event planning when she was just 16 years old. Selected by her high school principal to plan the annual carnival, Caryl organized the event without a hitch. In fact, Caryl was so successful that she was tapped to do it again during her senior year! Caryl had found her calling. Though negotiating hotel room blocks has replaced selling carnival booth space, and managing rooms and catering for hundreds has replaced sourcing hot dogs and soda, Caryl's energy and enthusiasm for event planning has remained unchanged through more than 17 years in the events industry. Today, Caryl brings this passion to ROAR events. After successfully designing and managing exceptional events for companies like Symantec, Ziff-Davis and PeopleSoft, plus mastering the site selection experience through her stint as Regional Director at HelmsBriscoe, Caryl was ready to create a new firm of her own. Caryl conceived of ROAR events as a boutique-style firm that would bring her clients all the benefits of Caryl's experience, expertise and relationships with key partners, without sacrificing personal attention and client service.
