I’m a freelance journalist and consultant from Chicago. I've written about police shootings for VICE News, politics for FiveThirtyEight, and football for the Wall Street Journal, along with plenty of other bylines.
I've also worked as a consultant for multiple teams in Major League Baseball, served as an expert witness, and helped other companies on statistical analysis and modeling projects. I earned my PhD in evolutionary genetics at the University of Chicago before transitioning into my current jobs (it's a long story).
When I'm not writing or consulting, I like to explore Chicago, travel to parts unknown, and watch baseball, among other hobbies.
