Rob Mullowney’s experience in the business of sports and has literally taken him coast to coast in Canada and around the world. As the St. John's IceCaps Vice President of Operations his business focus has been on revenue generation, revenue retention and marketing the IceCaps brand across the province.

The 2014 season was a memorable one for Mullowney as the IceCaps made it all the way to the Calder Cup Finals. The IceCaps were also honoured by the American Hockey League with numerous awards including the Presidents Award as the Team of the Year, Sponsorship Sales Team of the Year for the second year in a row as well as the Eastern Conference winner for outstanding game presentation and community relations.

In 2013 Mullowney was named the winner of the American Hockey League’s Ken Mackenzie Award, an award presented annually to the league executive who excels in the promotion of their team. The IceCaps were also honored with both the AHL's 2013 Sponsorship Sales Department and Sponsorship Activation of the Year.

Prior to joing the IceCaps Mullowney’s career highlights include working on the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and being part of the award-winning sponsorship and marketing team of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games that raised a record $760 million in sponsorship.

After the Games Mullowney helped form the Twentyten Group, a premiere sports marketing firm in Canada where he advised clients such as the International Olympic Committee, Vancouver WhiteCaps and Whistler Blackcomb

Mullowney holds a Master’s Degree in Sport Management and sits on the Board of Directors of the St. John’s Legends Swim Club.
