Rob Tolley

Rob Tolley has an extensive background in reinsurance and leads the Dubai firm Global Specialty Underwriters, LLC. Responsible for specialist lines spanning the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, Rob Tolley utilizes instruments such as surety bonds in covering the risks involved in distressed assets across sectors such as real estate.

Mr. Tolley’s background includes a past position with AFL Insurance Brokers, a specialized and independent affiliate of Lloyd's of London. Working with partners worldwide, he focused on aviation lines of business, as well as commodity transit and storage risks. He also oversaw traditional coverage lines across liability classes such as engineering and property.

Rob Tolley has also served as head of Middle East and North Africa operations with Aon Benfield and engineered growth across the region. Focused predominately on the non-marine sphere, he handled turnkey construction projects and the insurance attached to them. Outside of business, Mr. Tolley is an avid cyclist who has trained five days a week and participated in long-distance events as well as weekly club rides.
