Update May 10th 2016: My life is a perpetual blur. Since 2008 I have done a film in London, a commercial in Los Angeles, Five films in New Zealand and 15 in San Francisco. I only just now today completed another contract at Lucasfilm San Francisco, and I will return to ILM later this year for an undisclosed project. I have been fascinated with the art of filmmaking and imaging since I was very young in which I first started making rudimentary stop-motion and short films with my Mom's Kodak Cinepresa Super8mm camera. Later at Columbia College film school I explored 16mm cinematography as well as video. My first big break through came during college when I was awarded an internship working under a very brilliant man named Man Sung Son at his cinematography rental house in Chicago called "SMS Productions." It was Man Sung who taught me how to load and operate the Bolex, Arri-S, CP-16 (Vietnam news camera), Aaton XTR, Eclair NPR, Arri BL3, and my favorite weapon of choice, the Arriflex SR2. Man Sung soon trusted me enough to loan out the Arri-SR2 and a Bolex for a live music video project Tim Kloehn and I were directing of a now famous psychedlic cow-punk band known as "The Meat Puppets." This shoot literally steered my drive and ambition to the next level and I knew I wanted to make motion pictures my career. It's in my blood. In succession I continued filming and learning about new technology. One day I discovered the Amiga computer through my good friend's Todd Labonte and Andy Flessas (both brilliant animators). This propelled me into computer graphic filmmaking, then I got into SGI's, Wavefront, TDI, Alias, Photoshop, Quantel Paintbox, Mental Ray and Renderman. There was no turning back after that and in the last 20 years I have shot numerous personal projects and I have worked on several dozen Hollywood films and commercials under the role of Digital Artist in which I'm very grateful. My unquenchable thirst for image creation continues and I find inspiration in everything. I'm currently tinkering with a Samsung NX1 mirrorless camera. It shoots 4k and slo-mo et cetera. All the latest bells and whistles.
