Looking up the snow covered hill, you see a figure leaning down, placing a tiny white ball of snow on the top of the slope. You watch as he gives the small, insignificant snowball a tiny push. The ball begins to roll. It moves faster and faster, picking up more and more of the wet, sticky snow, growing bigger and bigger. It blazes past you, leaving a trail of grass in its wake. The snow boulder is perfect, who wouldn't give it an A+ now?
You look back up the snowy hill and see that the figure has moved further along. He once again leans down and places a small white ball, and in the same fashion as before, gives it a little push. The ball begins it's decent down the hill. At first it all looks the same as the previous time, but then you notice something. The ball isn't accelerating, it isn't growing larger. Then you realize, it's rolling down a slope covered with that pesky dry snow that doesn't stick to anything! The snowball slowly comes to a stop at your feet. You look down and wonder how such a wonderful idea could have faltered and withered.
I am the figure and my writing is the snow ball. Which slope has this gone down? You decide.
