To describe my writing as a metaphor, I would say that my writing is like an ocean wave crashing into the shore. When a wave crashes into the beach, it will start off extremely fierce as it approaches it's peak, but after it crests it slows down dramatically and crashes gently into the beach. This is similar to my writing because when I write as soon as I find an idea to I will start writing off the bat. But it seems that when I get to the best part of my writing, I begin to lose focus and finish much weaker then I started, like when the wave as it rolls into shore. Giant waves can also erupt randomly and surprise everyone on shore. This compares to my writing because occasionally when I start a piece I won't be able to think of a topic, and then one will come unexpectedly when I am not concentrating on coming up with an idea. My writing can also tend to surprise people, even myself.
