Robbie Williford

Robbie is a Graduate Student at The University of Akron in Ohio, studying Higher Education Administration. He holds an assistantship in the Department of Residence Life & Housing where he oversees students groups such as Residence Hall Program Board (RHPB) and National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH).

Robbie was an undergraduate student at Oakland University (Michigan) where he received his Bachelor's Degree in English and Creative Writing. It was during his time as the Student Body Vice President that Robbie learned about the world of student affairs. He cultivated a passion for student engagement, leadership principles, and student development that continues to shape who he is becoming today.

Through his various involvements in student activities, Robbie has learned the value of the co-curricular experience. He firmly believes that every student on campus should have the opportunity to take control of their learning experience by supplementing their in-class learning with their out-of-class activities.

Robbie's areas of interest are leadership development, student development theory, programming and activities, Higher Education finance, residence halls, and underrepresented groups on campus. He also enjoys writing about the world around him, both inside and outside of student affairs.
