Robby Pelssers

Robby is a senior certified all-round Java developer specialized in web development. He is currently hired as 'Team Lead Product Information Development' at NXP Semiconductors where his main focus is XML publishing. Robby has been fascinated with automation at young age and started out writing batch scripts at the age of 14. He studied commercial engineering at the University of Hasselt. In 2002 he started his professional career at Vodafone NL where he developed an intranet portal for retrieving operational information. He became noticed when he took self-initiative to visualize network components with SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) in an interactive way.

Since then he has participated in building many other web applications using a number of technologies and frameworks. He has proven himself to be a hard worker who delivers what he promises within time and budget constraints. He is always thinking proactive and discusses consequences of customer requirements. He is continuously staying up-to-date and immediately puts acquired knowledge into practice.

End 2011 he became Apache Cocoon committer. He also is actively taking online courses and blogging.
