Bob Altman is a two-time, Emmy Award-winning producer with over $125M in production of all genres. He has worked on co-productions in approximately 30 countries around the world and enjoyed studio deals with the following distributors: Prime Time TV London 1989-90; Viacom Entertainment 1990-1995; Paramount TV 1995-1997; Telescene Film Group 1997-2000; Televerse Studios 2005-2010. Altman has managed staffs in excess of 300 people and project budgets of $10M.
He produced "The Street", for MCA Universal, a forty half-hour late night scripted drama strip which Newsweek magazine dubbed 'The Father of Guerrilla TV'; and "Wish You Were Here", for CBS, a primetime comedy series about a man traveling the world with a camcorder which was the first small-format network prime-time series. He led a production team at Viacom which created The Noggin Channel. Also at Viacom, he produced series and specials for Showtime, Nickelodeon and WAM.
He co-produced the six hour Gemini-nominated Best Dramatic Mini Series mini-series, "Spearfield's Daughter" with Christopher Plummer for Robert Halmi, Inc. & Metromedia.
He has line-produced two feature films, "This is My Father" with Aidan Quinn, James Caan, John Cusack shot in Ireland for Filmline; and "Sushi Tushi" a comedy about the worst team in football released in 2018 and supervised, "Lily in Love" with Maggie Smith and Christopher Plummer shot in Hungary for Robert Halmi, Inc.
Altman has produced comedy and drama series for the BBC, Channel Four, Hallmark Channel, The Family Channel and Nickelodeon including "Night Shift", "One for the Road", "William Tell", "Renford Rejects" and was Executive Producer on 22 half-hour comedy episodes of "Misguided Angels" for the Fox Family network/Telescene.
In 2002, he produced the miniseries, "War Child", shot in Uganda, Sarajevo, and Nicaragua and hosted by Paul McCartney, Glenn Close, and Aidan Quinn for Hallmark Entertainment as Executive Producer, Writer, and Director.
From 2002-May 2005, he served as Broadcast Producer, Martha Stewart Living; a daily syndicated one-hour program; and Supervising Producer, "Everyday Food", PBS. 26 half-hours.
He has produced branded web series for Meredith, Readers Digest, Rodale, Hearst, Pepperidge Farm, Barilla, Bush's Beans, Kraft, Unilever, Kitchen Aid and Bertolli among many others.
