Robert Hiett
Government, Deputy Executive Director, and Worker in Atlanta, Georgia
Mr. Hiett joined the Three Rivers Regional Commission (TRRC) in 2001, and currently serves as its Deputy Executive Director. Mr. Hiett is responsible for operations within the TRRC’s Governmental Services Division, and its primary focus is to deliver transportation and workforce development programs. Mr. Hiett is involved with several local, state, and national committees that focus on policy or program issues related to transportation and workforce development.
Mr. Hiett is an active board member of the Georgia Transit Association (GTA), he served for six years as the association president, and he has served as the GTA Legislative Committee Chairman or Co-Chairman since 2005. Mr. Hiett served six years as the Georgia State Delegate for the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA), and he has served as the GA RC Association appointee for the Rural Planning Organizations of America (RPO America) since 2008. Mr. Hiett was elected to the RPO American executive committee in 2016, and is scheduled to become the national Vice-Chairman in 2018. Mr. Hiett continues to serve on workforce and transportation committees, at all levels, to promote economic mobility for all citizens.
