Robert Vick

I am currently a tenured Associate Professor in the Biology Department at Elon University. Having obtained my BA in Biology from Wake Forest University and my PhD in Physiology from the Medical College of Virginia, I teach Introductory Physiology and Advanced Physiology at Elon. I also teach Senior Seminar, Developmental Biology, and occasionally Cell Biology. I have taught the Field Biology course in Peru, as seen in my bio photo, and I hope to get back there soon.

I have served as Chair of the Biology Department, as Chair of the Health Professions Committee, and as Chair of other institutional committees. Additionally, I have served on University and Departmental search and ad hoc committees. I am a faculty mentor with the Preparing Future Faculty program at Duke university, and I have had numerous undergraduate researchers work with me on a variety of projects.

I am an active triathlete, participating in 4-5 races a year with a few 5Ks and Half Marathons thrown in for good measure. I also am a fan of Newcastle United FC, following them during the Premier League season and of Wake Forest sports.
