Robert Abbasi
Real estate professional Robert Abbasi has been working in the property market for just under 30 years. Before acquiring his MBA from the University of Southern California in 1993, Mr. Robert Abbasi launched a career as an investment broker where he recorded over $300,000,000 in transactions, much of which were attributed to commercial real estate deals.
In 1986, Robert Abbasi founded RTI Properties and began managing small apartment complexes in Southern California.
“Two, four, twenty units, and then it grew into bigger apartment buildings afterwards,” Mr. Abbasi reflects. “Then I started into commercial real estate.”
In fact, from looking at his resume, one will find that there is hardly any facet of real estate that Robert Abbasi has not delved into. From the lending side of things to investments to self-storage, Mr. Abbasi celebrates a longevity that is largely due to careful decision-making, know-how, and both personal and business integrity.
His dynamism has propelled RTI Properties into a nationally recognized real estate company with divisions excelling in Property/ Asset Management, Property Acquisitions, Private Lending, Commercial Property Brokerage/ Leasing, and Real Estate Development. RTI and its affiliates have transacted well over $2 Billion in transactions. As president, Mr. Robert Abbasi and RTI have returned an average of approximately 28% annually, compared to the S&P 500 average of just 10.4% for the same cycle. Moreover, the company’s real estate investment trusts provides annual gross returns of 11.9%.
“Today I’m focused back to the basics,” Abbasi says, a statement by a man with vast knowledge and enough profitable experience as a real estate expert to isolate the basics from the rest. It takes such knowledge in order to wheel a property management firm through harsh market climates like Mr. Abbasi and RTI Properties have managed to do over the years.
