An independent documentary filmmaker exploring the global art scene, Robert Adanto is the creative force behind The Rising Tide ('08), which examined the explosive Chinese contemporary art scene; Pearls on the Ocean Floor ('10), which explored the lives and works of Iranian female artists; City of Memory, a film looking at artists living in New Orleans before, during, and after Hurricane Katrina ('14). In 2015, he completed The F Word, a doc looking at radical 4th wave feminist performance, and he is completing a new film, Born Just Now, about the Belgrade-based artist, Marta Jovanovic.
