Roberta Terchi Nocentini
Italian pianist Roberta studied in Italy where she gained a Master’s in piano solo and a Master’s degree with Distinction in répetiteur. She is currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music, where she is pursuing an MA in piano accompaniment with Michael Dussek and James Baillieu. She is an accompanist in the Baroque Coaching Class with Michael Chance.
Roberta has previously studied with Pietro Iadeluca, Luciano Bellini and Marina Boesch (Conservatory of Music “A. Casella” in L’Aquila, Italy).
She has honed her technique with a wide range of masterclasses including ones with Jeremy Silver and Mark Shanahan (National Opera Studio, London); Giuseppe Sabbatini, Sandro Verzari, Marco Boemi and Toeve Loenskov (Italy); Jeff Cohen and Brigitte Belleys (Cité de la Musique et de la Danse in Strasburg) and Robert Kettelsonn (Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Rome).
Roberta has gained a wide range of teaching experience as both a vocal coach at the “A. Casella” Conservatory and in schools. As accompanist she has an extensive repertoire for voice and instruments. She has performed in over 100 concerts internationally (including Rome, Strasburg, Bucharest and London). As répetiteur she worked on a broad range of operas including La Traviata, Carmen, The Little Sweep and Il Matrimonio Segreto.
In 2009 Roberta founded the Italian “Suonincanto” association which aims to give young musicians the opportunity to perform in prestigious venues. So far over 30 young musicians have been helped through this organisation.
Roberta has a MA in Italian Literature.
