Robert Babich

Student in Chicago, Illinois

I am currently a Student at Northwestern University studying Economics and Communications Studies by day and growing nonprofits by night. In addition to conducting research on the Web Use Project, I assist the Financial Planning and Analysis Department at the Kellogg School of Management and seek out corporate donations to NU Dance Marathon.

While my main focus up until now has been personal development and service work with a plethora of nonprofit organizations, I am branching out my skills to help growing ventures and expand already successful companies.

A voracious reader, I learned the value of investing in my education and development at a young age (with two very supportive parents edging me in the right direction), and now I would like to use my skills to promote growing organizations.

As an Eagle Scout, a Philmont Backcountry Ranger, and a traveler, I enjoy outdoor adventures in my free time. Place-based learning has helped me on my many journeys in life. I have learned that there is always a long road ahead, lots of traveling to do, bridges to cross, dead ends to discover. Occasionally I won't even know if I'm going in the right direction - relying on instincts and experience to guide me - but I know that every new path I blaze could eventually become the road more-travelled.

Cultivating motivation, creativity, and new opportunities is my strategy for personal growth going forward, and my network of friends and mentors helps me carry this momentum forward. Please feel free to join in by sending me an email or adding me on social media.
