Robert F. Breyer is an Elementary School Assistant Principal for the Moore County School District in North Carolina. He completed his undergraduate studies in Elementary Education (1997) at King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Currently enrolled at the University of North Carolina Pembroke, he is pursuing his graduate degree in school administration. Robert started his career working in Information Technology for such companies as Lucent Technologies and Siemens. After relocating to NC in 2005, he accepted a position as an elementary school teacher with Harnett County Schools, which provided him an opportunity to combine his passion for education and technology. He served in that capacity until he was selected to join the very first cohort of the Sandhills Leadership Academy in 2011 and successfully completed the program in June of 2012. His tenure in the program laid the foundation for his belief that all schools should be led by a committed principal, one with vision and a desire to achieve results through collaboration between teachers, parents, and community members, so that all students are recognized as imminent, productive, and responsible citizens in the 21st Century.
