Hello, I’m Robert, based in beautiful Australia.
After getting requests from a wide range of people, I decided to publish a bit about me, and here's a recent (June 2025) update:

I'm a serial innovator and entrepreneur, with a background in electronics and software. After studying electrical engineering, computer science and working full-time for many years in different countries, I somehow ended up becoming an innovation & commercialisation specialist - mostly guiding others. In recent years, I brought together teams (businesses and experts in academia), helped others to secure funding and worked on numerous artificial intelligence (AI) and cyber security projects.

After realising what's possible, I became an AI-for-Good advocate who now runs an AI-Startup / Spin-Out in Australia.
Our company macro-economic Skilled Companions offers screen-based, relatable AI characters that can deliver 24/7 psychosocial and emotional support. Our AI-powered companions have been successfully tested with end-users and staff in aged care, home care and hospitals, where they provide conversational, highly skilled psychosocial support to people experiencing loneliness, dementia, trauma, anxiety, mental health and other challenges.

As the CEO of Skilled Companions Pty Ltd, I have very limited time for other things. Our team and I are preparing to launch our product to a much wider audience.
