In his next post, Robert Coveny acted as Business Development Manager for Bell Helicopter Textron Inc., overseeing commercial sales in Colombia and earning top recognition for his success. In his role as Vice President of Global Business Development for FLIR Systems, Inc. He served as the most senior business-development vice president in the firm, he oversaw 90 distributors, agents, and resellers and a staff of more than 85, booking in excess of $1.2 billion in his 13-year tenure at the provider of thermal-imaging and night-vision equipment. Robert Coveny served more than five years on Air Force active duty and more than 16 years in the reserves, completing numerous courses and ultimately retiring as the Assistant Air Force Attaché at USEMB Bogota, Colombia. Both he and his family support Catholic Charities of Central Florida, the Archdiocese of Portland, Oregon, and St. Mary’s Academy. In his leisure time, Robert Coveny studies the history of aviation, navigation, and general aerospace.
