Rob Stein
Austin, TX
I grew up and went to college on the eastern half of the United States, but headed to Texas to seek career opportunities. I have resided in Texas for the past 11 years.
I have always been on the go.
I have an extensive travel record both professionally and personally. I filled a passport in four years. One of my favorite travel experiences included visiting Munich during Oktoberfest, where I met people from all over the world. Another great experience was when I went to Shanghai for the first time with my wife, who is from China. I rode the Maglev train, which approached speeds in excess of 260 MPH. I spent my 28th birthday on the Great Wall. Currently, I work for a global corporation as the finance program manager on a special team reporting to the top executives. My assignments include strategic initiatives that span the entire organization.
I have put down roots in Texas. But I look to the Far East.
My wife and I regularly enjoy Asian food at a local ramen noodle shop in Austin. There, we discuss our future and our long-term plans to start helping people in the U.S. and China invest their personal finances wisely. I enjoy managing my own finances, and I am an avid stock market participant, investing in and trading equities and derivatives. I hope to take my interest and skill to the next level by obtaining an MBA with a focus in asset management. My travels have influenced my perspective. Around the world, I see how important financial health is to the creation of opportunity, and how important opportunity is to the welfare of people, communities, markets, and companies. Without financial health, opportunity withers. Without opportunity, communities decline. It is all connected.
