For more than 25 years Mr. Hansen has had a successful track record for excellence in the Visual Arts and Event Production Industries. The Study of Graphic Design and Advertising at the School of Visual Arts in New York City led him to start his career in the Visual Arts Industry. Upon completion, he began his career in the Visual department of New York City‘s Wallachs, a prestigious Fifth Avenue Men’s clothing store. After two years he was promoted to Regional Visual Merchandising Coordinator for all of their New Jersey stores. After seven years he took a position as the Senior Men’s Stylist at Macy’s Herald Square store. His unique style and flair eventually caught the attention of the Regional Vice President of the Nordstrom Sales Promotion department that included Special Events and Visual Departments. Working at their Menlo Park location in New Jersey, he was promoted and relocated to Santa Barbara, California.
In Santa Barbara, Robert won several awards including an international award for Visual Display. Three years later, he was promoted to Regional Visual Merchandising Manager for all of the Display Departments in Los Angeles, relocating to Redondo Beach, CA. While producing an event for Nordstrom and Donna Karan at basketball legend Magic Johnson’s home, the president of the Magic Johnson Enterprises, Kawanna Myers-Brown, introduced him to Burt Nelson and Marianne Weiman-Nelson of Special Occasions, Inc. of Beverly Hills. They later offered him a position at their company, which he took after almost a decade of service at Nordstrom. After his run at Special Occasions, he met the world renowned designer Diann Valentine. For over a decade he has been a part of many of Diann's amazing projects. Including Tamra and Eddie's OC Wedding (Real Housewives of Orange County), and Evelyn and Chad "Ochocinco) Johnson to name just a few. In that time he met Damon "DH Baby" Haley and Carl "CDUB" Washington of UMCA Sports and Entertainment. That led to him becoming an integral part of the marketing team at mad crush sports and entertainment.
He has been the Production Director for activations that included the More Than a Game Tour, Cartoon Network Hall of Game Experience, and the BET Soul Train Music Awards Flash Mob Tour that included a stop in New York City’s Times Square. FYI...we won an EMMA (not EMMY) Award for that Soul Train campaign.
