Walked through life choosing at many cross-roads the paths less traveled, thinking different and unique is the way to go. Learned along the way that perfect blacks and immaculate whites are never really encountered, and that the real art of life is choosing the best shade of grey.

The human mind is extremely well adapted at tuning-out repetitive sensory input, to turn a deaf ear and a blind eye to the perception of sounds, images and most everything else, in their average and recurrent forms. You stop smelling persistent odors around you after a short while, you stop hearing constant white-noises in your vicinity, the conscious brain reacts only to the peaks and valleys of our senses.

Understood relatively late that this applies to life experiences just as well. Average day to day repetitive tasks are tuned-out and almost instantly forgotten. Out of the ordinary events are what give life its meaning, what you draw enjoyment from, and what is, when all is said and done, remembered.
