Robert "Jud" Gartner

Technician and Writer in Jacksonville, Florida

I am a 2008 graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor's in English. I lived in the Gainesville, FL area for eight years and made a name for myself in every company for which I have worked. That 'name' is reliable, dependable, resilient, and good-mannered. Each position in which I have worked has had a strong focus on customer service in some form or another.

In the winter of 2014, I graduated from Santa Fe College with an Associate of Science degree as a Network Services Technician. I was then hired a few months later to the MSP Venture Pointe in Jacksonville, FL as a Tier I Helpdesk Technician. While this satisfied an immediate career goal, my long-term goal is to be a network or system administrator. I've been working for MSPs ever since, now working at ICX Managed Services, and am now a Tier 2 Helpdesk Technician and Team Lead to a small group of technicians.

In my spare time I love to be a father (three kids; all done), to write, and to play games (board, video, and tabletop). I also have a published, co-authored book available on Amazon.com; Rokula. My co-author, the incredibly talented Sarah Roberts, donated a great deal of inspiration, time, and writing to the book. She even gave it a little love, but not so much that it got entitled. So, if you like vampires, werewolves, and a general irreverence for the genre, give it a look.
