Robert Geneid
Robert Geneid has made his home in Malaysia where he is the Managing Director of Kumpulan Construction where he is responsible for the development of the Royal Mulu Resort and the Miri Marriott Resort and Spa. The Mulu region usually has cool mornings and warm days with temperatures range between 23 and 34 degrees. Robert is fond of the local people who are known to be quite shy but friendly and skilled at boat making and crafts. The region is a veritable paradise and ideal holiday location offering interesting activities like Adventure Caving and Canopy Sky Walks.
Robert Geneid first started exploring that neck of the jungle in the eighties when he worked for a legal firm with ties to Southeast Asia. Initially involved with development work in Indonesia, Robert Geneid eventually became engaged in the Peninsula Gas Utilisation Project in Malaysia. He was taken with the distinctive culture and wealth of natural beauty that Malaysia has to offer and this enthusiasm led to Robert Geneid making incredible contributions to the area and its' inhabitants. He is currently a member of the board on both; the Malaysian Tourist Board and the Malaysian Convention and Exhibition Bureau.
Prior to his move to property development, Robert Geneid spent many years working in different areas of expertise, first as an engineer and then in the legal field as solicitor. Both occupations strengthened Robert Geneid's abilities and formed a solid basis for his future career. The time he spent abroad in Saudi Arabia where he worked as an engineer, padded Robert Geneid's existing engineering knowledge with expert knowledge of water, cooling systems and sewerage systems. As a solicitor in Sydney and Singapore his time was spent on large scale projects with emphasis on construction law. The hands-on experience was priceless in honing Robert Geneid for his forthcoming developmental work.
