Robert Grygiel

The designer of one of the best-selling Bluetooth chips in the product's history, Robert Grygiel has devoted nearly two decades to professional excellence. As an Integrated Circuit Design Engineer for more than 16 years, Grygiel has built microchips for a wide variety of applications, including cell phones, gaming consoles, computer modems, networking equipment, biomedical devices, personal computers, and HDTVs. In recent years, Robert Grygiel has designed a variety of wireless chips that are used in smart phones, gaming controllers, laptops, printers, mice, keyboards, and consumer electronics.

Robert Grygiel received his undergraduate education in electrical engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he earned a Bachelor of Science. Grygiel subsequently earned a Master of Science in Engineering at the San Diego campus of the University of California, where he also received specialized certificates in Embedded Computer Software, RF Engineering, and CDMA Engineering.

Early in his career, Grygiel served as an Integrated Circuit (IC) Design Consultant for the Cadence Design Services, the #1 EDA company at the time. Later, he became an IC Design Consultant for QThink, a widely regarded IC design services company. In these roles, he helped more than two dozen companies bring their microchips to the marketplace, including several startups.

Grygiel's years as a consultant gave him experience in every phase of the IC design process, a rare accomplishment. Having seen the design flows of many companies and having worked for the best design services companies, he has a keen understanding of the best methodologies for achieving on-time, successful, and high-yielding microchip designs. His track record of successful microchip tapeouts is exceptional.
