With more than two decades of experience as a software engineer in a variety of different industries, including aerospace, manufacturing, and consumer products, Robert H. Flanagan of Wayland, Massachusetts, has a vast amount of experience in technology and product development and production. Mr. Flanagan possesses a range of programming skills including Visual BASIC, C#, and C++, motion control systems such as Delta Tau and Galil, and robotics tools such as Adept AIM and Adept V+. Robert H. Flanagan has also worked with Precise Automation controls and Microchip PIC microprocessors.
Mr. Flanagan holds two degrees in Electrical Engineering: a Bachelor of Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, and a Master of Science with a concentration in Control Systems from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He also earned his Master of Business Administration from Boston University.
Having primarily worked in New England with a number of corporations and businesses, Mr. Flanagan's current position is with MPI Software Inc., where he serves as a software engineer and develops control products for machines and instrumentation. Mr. Flanagan has worked at MPI since 2000, designing, testing, and manufacturing a number of software and hardware solutions. These solutions are utilized in robotics, instrumentation and measurement, user interfaces, laser marking, and vision systems. MPI is located at 22 Millbrook Road in Wayland, Massachusetts.
Prior to joining MPI, Mr. Flanagan worked as a software and product engineer for Project Genesis in Cambridge, Bose Corporation in Framingham, and the Gillette Company in Boston. Robert H. Flanagan also worked in the aerospace industry for two technology companies that built parts for use in space shuttle missions and other aerospace engineering projects. He is licensed with the FCC as an amateur radio operator, with the call sign KA1RBH.
