Robert J. Hutchinson is an award-winning writer and author who studied philosophy as an undergraduate, moved to Israel to learn Hebrew, and earned a graduate degree in New Testament studies.
Hutchinson's most recent book is The Dawn of Christianity: How God Used Simple Fishermen, Soldiers, and Prostitutes to Transform the World, a journalistic re-telling of the founding of the Jesus movement in the first 20 years following Jesus of Nazareth's execution on a Roman cross.
Hutchinson is also the author of Searching for Jesus: New Discoveries in the Quest for Jesus of Nazareth (Thomas Nelson, October 2015), an overview of recent discoveries in archaeology and New Testament studies that support the Gospels' overall portrait of who Jesus of Nazareth was and is; The Politically Incorrect Guide to the Bible, an overview of how the ideas embedded in the ancient Biblical texts helped give rise to modern science, the recognition of human rights and the rights of women, limited government, and human freedom; and When in Rome: A Journal of Life in Vatican City, a chronicle of Hutchinson's time spent with his family in Rome as he investigated the hidden intrigues and mysteries of the Holy See.
Hutchinson lives with his wife and many children in a small village on the ocean where he cobbles together a living as a writer, author and occasional seminar presenter.
