My name is Robert Kalomiris, and I am applying for the vacancy of cashier & salesperson at your Urban Outfitters store, located at the Fashion Fair Mall. I am currently an incoming freshman at Fresno State University, in Fresno, California.

Why I Would Make an Excellent Urban Outfitters Employee

An excellent employee doesn't say the same generic "Hello/Goodbye" to each customer : After reading Likeable Media, I learned that customers that are engaged individually feel special & are more likely going to brag about their shopping experience to friends, bringing more customers through word of mouth.

An excellent employee is punctual:I have near-perfect attendence at my high school, Bullard High. I was never on time; I was always in my classes early.

An excellent employee isn't afraid to take on new tasks and duties: I learned this when I volunteered to manage the Bullard High Boys Volleyball team. We didn't win league that year, but every statistic on how we could get better was inputting by me.

An excellent employee takes constructive criticism gracefully: As a part of the US Soccer Federation's Referee Program, I learned how to deal with angry mobs of parents & my superiors when my performance could be improved.

An excellent employee is attentive: Being attentive was key in my participation in Boy Scouts of America, because ignoring instructions could lead to dangrous situations on group outings & activities.

An excellent employee has a genuine interest in the store they work for: In the clothing industry, employees should be a walking advertisement for the store they work for. I was once at American Eagle and one employee there told me "...It's ok, most of these clothes aren't my style anyways".

Availabilty & Hours

I am available Sunday through Saturday whenever I am needed with the upmost flexibility. I currently plan on working part-time (39 hours or less) so my schedule transition to college will be easiest for both parties.
