Robert Kontor
Since 1988, Robert Kontor has been developing his skills, knowledge, and expertise in the pre-engineered steel building industry. Robert Kontor’s dedication, consistency, and decades of experience make him a valuable asset, evidenced by the fact that he has worked for just three companies since 1988 and has received accolades and promotions at all three.
A graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, Robert Kontor majored in Finance and minored in Education, receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1987. Shortly thereafter, he found employment with Whirlwind Steel Buildings, Inc., one of the largest manufacturers of metal buildings in the country. Hired as an Estimator, he was quickly promoted to Sales Service Manager, selling and supervising the production of steel structures, as well as operating a computerized system to provide job estimates.
NCI Building Systems, Inc., another large, Houston-based metal and building component manufacturing company, hired Robert Kontor as a Sales Service Manager in 1993, putting him in charge of sales, estimates, contract writing, and job progress management. By 1996, entrusted with the management and expansion of the company’s builder base in Tennessee and Arkansas, he had been promoted to District Sales Manager.
In 1997, Rigid Global Buildings offered Robert Kontor the position of District Sales Manager, which he holds to this day. As he did at NCI, he has managed and extended Rigid Global Buildings’ database of builders throughout Southeastern and Eastern Texas. Robert Kontor’s deep sales abilities have repeatedly been rewarded during his years with Rigid Global Buildings; in six separate years, he received the honor of Top Sales Producer, and was among the company’s Top Three Sales Producers in three.
