As an orthopedic surgeon at Troy Regional Medical Center in South Troy, Alabama, Dr. Robert Liljeberg brings 20 years of relevant experience to his work, along with an outstanding record of patient care. Part of the team at Troy Regional since December of 2013, he provides all manner of surgical and nonsurgical orthopedic treatments to his patients and specializes in sports medicine. Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Robert Liljeberg also maintains affiliation with the Catawba County Medical Society, Southern Orthopaedic Association, and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Before Troy Regional, Dr. Robert Liljeberg spent 18 years in Hickory, North Carolina, where he practiced with both Carolina Orthopaedic Specialists and Moretz Sports Medicine. A former Fellow in sports medicine at Tulane Medical Center, Dr. Liljeberg fulfilled his clinical training in orthopedic surgery at the Memphis-based Campbell Clinic and Methodist Hospital. He received his MD from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine and BS in biology and history from Tulane University.
