Robert MacDermaid

I am a recently graduated Masters student from Eastern Michigan University. I received my Masters in Sport Management just this past spring. I've also spent the past 9 months as a Football Operations Intern here at Eastern Michigan University. My first degree was a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from the University of Michigan in 2014. I am an avid fan of Michigan athletics, to say the least. I was raised a fan as my grandfather, step father, step grandfather, and step brother all have degrees from Michigan. I now have a degree along with them and am a proud alumnus. My passion with sports began as a child when I strived to know everything I could about every professional team. By the age of 3, I could tell you the name of every team in every league without hesitation. This love developed into a love of statistics, varying from simple standings to complete stat lines for baseball, football, hockey, and basketball players. I wanted to relate this to my studies at the University of Michigan, so I decided on a degree in Statistics and followed that up with a Masters Degree in Sport Management. Athletically, I ran track and cross-country in high school and continue to run leisurely. It is a personal goal of mine to complete a marathon in my lifetime. Aside from sports, I love to travel anywhere that I can. I have traveled to France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, New Zealand, Fiji, Australia, Mexico, and Canada. I will always have the desire to travel.
