Throughout his extensive career in dentistry and finance, Robert Mansueto has remained dedicated to his hometown in the San Diego area, Coronado, California. A graduate of Coronado High School, Robert Mansueto pursued dental coursework at the University of Southern California and the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1976. Robert Mansueto completed his oral surgery residency while serving with the Dental Corps of the United States Navy and returned to Coronado in 1979 to join Coronado Dental Group, a 50-year-old practice started by former mayor Dr. Paul Vetter. Under Robert Mansueto’s direction, Coronado Dental Group became San Diego County’s first dental implant center. During his 22 years with Coronado Dental Group, Robert Mansueto also continually demonstrated his dedication to remaining at the forefront of the field of implant dentistry. In addition to completing more than 500 hours of continuing education, Robert Mansueto invented the Uniplant Dental Implant System. The author of several internationally published articles, Robert Mansueto fulfilled the stringent requirements to become a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry in November 2000.
In 2001, Robert Mansueto left Coronado Dental Group to found California Implant Centers, an implant-oriented dental practice in La Jolla, California, where he practiced until 2005. Today, Robert Mansueto devotes his time and energy to his numerous business ventures and acts as Chief Executive Officer of Exalt, a San Diego-based financial consultancy that provides unique savings plans and tax reduction approaches tailored to the needs of doctors and professionals in the healthcare industry. In his spare time, Robert Mansueto gives back to the community as a volunteer assistant track coach at Coronado High School, where he still holds the school record in high hurdles after 40 years.
