Robert Middaugh

Robert Middaugh is a public relations and strategic communications professional from Texas. He has public affairs experience at the highest levels of state and federal government, including work in the national security and law enforcement fields.
Most recently, Robert was deputy press secretary and spokesperson for New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman. He served as the primary press contact for eight upstate media markets; handling media inquiries and promoting initiatives for New York's top law enforcement official.
In 2012, he was appointed by the White House to serve as a spokesperson for the Obama Administration at the U.S. Department of Energy. He worked with national and international media on issues including nonproliferation, counterterrorism and cybersecurity for the National Nuclear Security Administration -- the sub-agency that oversees the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile.
Prior to his time at the Department of Energy, Robert worked with the press offices of U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer and U.S. Rep. Candice Miller, was a contributing writer for the North Texas Daily, and was an assistant for the Dallas-based label, Kirtland Records.

Robert attended the University of North Texas in Denton where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism, with a concentration in public relations.
