Robert Morelli

Sirona Advisors Managing Partner and co-founder Robert Morelli draws on 12 years of experience in business and finance to lead his company. In 2009, Robert Morelli collaborated with two partners to launch Sirona Advisors, a trading and consulting business, and has since provided high-quality client services focused on mortgage-related securities. Robert Morelli creates valuations based on market trends and credit, focusing on “hard to value” securities. Morelli also performs portfolio surveillance and advises clients on how to restructure investments. Prior to creating Sirona Advisors, Robert Morelli served as Head of Structuring and Syndicate of Mortgage and Asset-backed CDOs with UBS in New York. In this position, Morelli oversaw the Global Structured Products Collateralized Debt Obligations (CDO) Group, the unit that created and sold residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) and other asset-backed securities (ABS). Over the course of his years with UBS, Robert Morelli distributed $55 billion notional value comprising more than 60 transactions. Morelli also developed skill in interacting with customers, serving as the primary point of contact between the CDO group, the sales force, and clients. In addition, he made significant contributions to business development, in obtaining new opportunities and retaining existing clients. While he joined as the 3rd member of a 3-person team in 1999, Robert Morelli helped the unit grow tenfold, eventually seeing the group become a 30-person business. Before beginning his career, Morelli earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Marketing from Cornell University.
