Rob Murgatroyd is an American writer and content creator based in Florence, Italy. Born in Queens to a Neapolitan-American family, he spent years running a chiropractic practice in Atlanta before selling it and reinventing himself across DJing, travel filmmaking and entrepreneurship. In 2019 a long European trip ended with ninety days in Florence, and a few years later he and his wife Kim made the move permanent.

Today Rob and Kim run “I Like You Better in Italy,” a brand built around group travel, storytelling and the dream of an Italian life. He is at work on a memoir of the same name, developing a luxury Italian artisan brand called Simonetti named for his grandfather, and pursuing Italian citizenship through family lineage. He lives in Florence with Kim and their younger daughter Sofia.
