Dr. Robert Neff

Ever since I was a kid, I've been fascinated by athletes who performed their best when it mattered the most. How did they do that!? Didn't they realize millions of people were watching their every move? As it turns out, they actually didn't! They temporarily became fixated on the task at hand and literally forgot what was at stake and who was watching.

I've been studying and training elite athletes for the past 20 years. Before that, I completed a doctorate in Sport Psychology from Michigan State University, and prior to that I had aspirations of becoming an elite athlete myself. A kidney failure ended the athlete part of my career, but that didn't stop my passion for peak performance.

We know SO much more now about how to find "The Zone" than when I competed 25yrs ago. Back then, athletes had to figure out through trial and error the secrets that would propel them to greatness. But what about now? What's the best way to learn mental skills? Fortunately trial and error is not the only way!

My company, Mental Training, Inc., is the first in the world to offer fully customized online mental training (yes, a website designs the ideal program to meet your needs). And if you want to work with a human, we have Certified Mental Trainers® available to meet in person or via Skype. We've also recently launched our newest mental training tool, MentalApp™, that works on all mobile devices and puts athletes, coaches and parents on the same page mentally.

My mission now is to enable anyone, regardless of where they live or how much they make, to perform their best when it matters the most.
