Roberto Garcia
Roberto Garcia, MD graduated Cum Laude from Jacksonville University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. While in college, he authored several articles on the neurobiological treatment for Alzheimer 's disease.
He then attended the Medical College of Wisconsin (Formerly Marquette University Medical School) where he developed an interest in surgery of the face, head and neck. While in medical school, Dr. Garcia took interest in teaching medical students and nurses the anatomy of the head, neck and face.
After completing an internship in General Surgery at SUNY Health Sciences Center in Syracuse, New York, Dr. Garcia completed a four-year residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. During this time, Dr. Garcia was involved in developing techniques for management of facial trauma, was involved in many scientific projects and published a number of scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Garcia completed his training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the world renowned McCollough Institute for Appearance and Health in Alabama. While in fellowship, Dr. Garcia underwent more extensive, specialized training in cosmetic surgery of the aging face and neck as well as cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the nose. He published and presented works on treatments for the aging lower eyelids.
Dr. Garcia has lectured other Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgeons nationally on the techniques that have been developed at Garcia Facial Plastic Surgery Institute.
His areas of focus are cosmetic surgery of the aging face as well as advanced and revision nasal surgery.
Dr. Garcia joined his brother J. Phillip Garcia in July 2005. He is double board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as the American Board of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery.
